Delta Sigma Pi is a professional business fraternity open to all business and organizational leadership students, men and women, here on the IPFW campus. We bring together young adults who share goals, common values, and a pursuit for professional excellence. We build bonds of friendships which can be described as “not just four years…for life”. The Iota Lambda chapter of Delta Sigma Pi focuses on three main goals:
- Professional Evolution
- Community Involvement
- Social Activity
Professional Evolution: Delta Sigma Pi encourages, supports, and shapes professional goals and personal aspirations of its members. Our members grow beyond classroom theory through real-life experiences. The Iota Lambda chapter brings professionals from around the United States to the IPFW campus to teach students on a variety of topics as well as bringing students to local companies. Some past professional events that have been sponsored by our organization include tours of DeBrands and Sweetwater, trips to Chicago to see the Federal Reserve, and speakers such as Tana Goetrz and Adam Carroll.
Community Involvement: We believe that as members of the business community we have a unique opportunity and a duty to serve our community. We are committed to making a difference. Frequent community involvement builds brotherhood and gives our members a sense of reality-based lessons and valuable business insights. Some past community involvement our chapter has been involved with include The Red Cross Blood Drive, MDA Telethon, Fort Wayne Adopt-A-Family, Walk for Autism, and IPFW Pink Out.
Social Activity: In addition to professional and community activities, the Iota Lambda chapter focuses on building lasting friendships. These friendships can provide lifetime opportunities as the network of Delta Sigma Pi ranges from coast-to-coast. This network provides professional contacts, business resources, and continuing education. Our chapter holds social events such as our annual Christmas party and Rose Banquet in addition to national social activities that occur twice a year at LEAD school events.
